CIRCULATION (Spatial Fluidity + Programme-Free)
I'm always fascinated by topics which question the way people think. Here my design sets out to intrigue. Is the bottom space a circulation space where people walk through or a function space with an open design or both? The simplicity of this design without details is open to interpretations. Same can be said about the top space. At this simple stage the top can easily to made into a room or a hallway that people walk through. This is great conceptually as it moves away from putting a label on particular things and combines nicely from spatial fluidity (free flowing space) and programme-free (no prescribed function)
VERTICAL HIERARCHY (Gender spaces + Ration Design)
I've created the bottom space as a more dominant area (more open, bigger and wider frame - male) compared with the above level with a lower roofed space (leaning towards a more private enclosure - female). In electroliquid aggregation this design combines the rational ( a simple two level design) with a division between the spaces (male VS female). Hence I hope I've created a sense of vertical hierarchy simply through the manipulation of heights and space.
DETAIL + MEETING PLACE
Here I've added access to the above levels, a glass enclosure with gaps for the lighting in Cryengine and a meeting place inbetween the two monuments.
